RediPlant Hits 100 Machines

RediPlant Refreshes Its Look and Welcomes the New Kobelco SK235SR-7

When you’ve been in the game for nearly 20 years, milestones matter. For RediPlant, a family-owned dry hire specialist based in Queensland, hitting 100 machines in its fleet is more than just a number—it’s a sign of growth, resilience, and a commitment to doing things right.

“It was always the goal to get to that 100,” says Nigel Thrush, Managing Director at RediPlant. “Now we’ve set our sights on 150. Bigger and better things are ahead.”

And what better way to celebrate than by adding the latest Kobelco SK235SR-7 to the line-up? Delivered by long-time partner Brisvegas Machinery, this new Dash-7 excavator is already making waves.

From Humble Beginnings to Heavy Hitters

RediPlant started almost two decades ago with a single machine and a big dream. Today, it’s one of Queensland’s go-to names for dry hire, supplying gear for civil, construction, and mining projects across the state.

Excavators make up the backbone of the fleet, and the 23–25 tonne class is a real workhorse. “We keep around 15 of these in stock because they’re so popular in the civil industry,” Nigel explains. “They’re perfect for tight-access jobs but still have the grunt to handle big tasks just like a conventional swing machine.”

The SK235SR-7: Why It’s a Big Deal

The new Kobelco SK235SR-7 isn’t just another excavator—it’s a machine built for modern job sites. It combines reduced swing for tight spaces with the muscle of a 20-tonne machine.

Some of the standout features include:

  • ✔ 10-inch touchscreen display for easy operation
  • ✔ Eagle Eye camera system for 360-degree visibility
  • ✔ Spacious cab with premium comfort

And here’s the kicker: no AdBlue or DPF. That means fewer headaches for contractors and less downtime on site. “That’s a big win for us and our customers,” Nigel says. “When you’re running a major civil job, the last thing you want is a machine down because of emissions gear. This is set-and-forget.”

Operators Want Comfort—and Tech

With skilled operators in short supply, comfort and technology matter more than ever. “Everyone wants the flash gear—the touchscreen, the bigger cab, the comfier seats,” Nigel says with a grin. “The Dash-7 ticks all those boxes.”

A Fresh Look for a Fresh Chapter

If you’ve seen RediPlant’s machines lately, you might have noticed something new: a bold, modern rebrand. “We just wanted to freshen things up,” Nigel explains. “The new colours and design represent moving forward—onto bigger and better things. And honestly, it looks great against the Kobelco turquoise.”

The updated branding isn’t just cosmetic—it’s a statement. It signals RediPlant’s commitment to growth, innovation, and staying ahead in a competitive market.

A Partnership That Works

Behind every great machine is a great dealer. For RediPlant, that’s Brisvegas Machinery. “They’ve still got that smaller family owned team feel, just like us,” Nigel says. “When we call, they’ve got answers. Of course, their service is second to none.”

“We appreciate the business and the trust,” says Marco Marabini from Brisvegas. “RediPlant is a great partner because they understand the value of quality equipment and proactive service. Here’s to plenty more machines to come.”

Looking Ahead

With 100 machines now in the fleet, a fresh new brand identity, and the latest Kobelco technology on board, RediPlant is charging toward its next milestone. “The new branding is about moving forward—bigger, better, and ready for the future,” Nigel says.

As Queensland’s civil and infrastructure projects continue to grow, RediPlant and Brisvegas Machinery are ready to deliver the gear that keeps the industry moving.
