This Month in the Industry
We’re heading into that interesting period before EOFY where things can go either way.
Some contractors are still flat out, while others are starting to slow down slightly as projects wrap up or budgets tighten.
A few key things I’m seeing:
Operators are still hard to find in many areas
Margins are tight, especially with fuel fluctuations
Contractors are starting to think about EOFY planning
Fuel Prices & Levy Reminder
If you’re using a fuel levy (which you should be), don’t just set and forget it.
* Make sure you’re keeping an eye on the Terminal Gate Price (TGP)
Fuel prices have come down recently, especially with the government excise reduction, so:
* your levy should also be adjusted down as fuel drops
The Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo was a massive success.
We had heaps of followers and members come past the stand, and it was great to finally meet so many people face-to-face. Pro Screen Australia had their screens and mule bin on the stand.
We ran the spinning wheel all weekend and gave away plenty of prizes thanks to our partners, which brought a lot of people over and created a great atmosphere.
I also made a huge number of new contacts, and there are definitely some big things to come out of it.
